Avoiding food waste

Food waste contributes significantly to the carbon footprint as the production, transportation, storage, preparation and wastage of food consumes energy and resources. By reducing food waste, together we can make an important contribution to climate protection.

The tool shows the savings that can be achieved by saving food that was originally intended to be disposed of.
